Mokuhanga Workshop
In 2018 Claire again travelled to Japan, this time for a five day Mokuhanga workshop (Japanese woodblock printing) with Japanese Mokuhanga master, Tetsuo Soyama and MI-Lab at cfSHE gallery. She learned several different techniques including Mokuhanga register printing and Bokashi. While in Japan Claire also extended her appreciation and understanding of Buddhist and Shinto philosophies relating to nature and art.
